About Me

I am an experienced Psychotherapist based in Ontario, offering online sessions. A graduate of the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, I have been in private practice for 12 years. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT).

My professional background is diverse, spanning government, education, not-for-profit, and technology sectors.

Education & Training:

BA in Classical Studies (McMaster University). ADR/Negotiation post-graduate work (York University). Began practicing psychotherapy in 2014 during training at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP), graduating in 2017. Currently pursuing the Advanced Certificate in Couples and Family Therapy (University of Guelph). Special Interest: Grief related to pet loss (further training with APLB scheduled for 2026).

Personal Motivation: My own experience as a psychotherapy client deeply inspired me to study theory and practice. The combination of my personal therapy and the rigorous six-year CTP program has strengthened my capacity for empathy and fully prepared me to support others in navigating the challenges we all face.

My Approach and Getting Started

How I Work.

I approach each session with care, curiosity, and genuine interest. My style is non-prescriptive; I follow your lead while gently guiding the conversation. We start each session by focusing on what feels most important to you. I listen deeply, respect your process, and offer interpretations or feedback when helpful.

I primarily work with individuals interested in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Sessions are 50 minutes and are typically held once a week (additional sessions are available as needed). My fee is $150 per session.

Consultation (30 minutes, free of charge)
It’s important to determine if your therapist is a match for you. To help facilitate this, I offer a 30 minute consultation free of charge, where we can discuss the key areas you would like to focus on. From there, we can discuss if you would like to move forward.

If we find we are aligned, sessions will typically run once a week.

  • Psychotherapy Services are covered by many benefits plans. You will need to confirm this with your benefits provider. If paying out of pocket, my receipts can be submitted with your taxes as a medical expense.

Feeling real is more than existing; it is finding a way to exist as oneself... and to have a self into which to retreat for relaxation.
